Isaiah 8:8-10

⁸ “Then ^(A)it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through,
It will ^(B)reach even to the neck;
And the spread of its wings will ^[a]fill the breadth of ^[b]your land, O ^(C)Immanuel.

⁹ “^(D)Be broken, O peoples, and be ^[c](E)shattered;
And give ear, all remote places of the earth.
Gird yourselves, yet be ^[d]shattered;
Gird yourselves, yet be ^[e]shattered.
¹⁰ “^(F)Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted;
State a ^[f]proposal, but ^(G)it will not stand,
For ^[g](H)God is with us.”
